Understanding that grows and multiplies

The Good Ground is a free discipleship curriculum. No ads, no paywall, nothing to buy. Each lesson is a short, printable study you can work through on your own or teach to a group. It was created to be printed, taught, and passed on.

The name comes from the parable of the sower found in Matthew 13. The good ground is the person who hears the Word and understands it, and then bears fruit in their life that multiplies a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. That is the promise here: understanding that grows and multiplies. What you learn doesn’t stay locked inside of you. It grows into a life, and over the years it multiplies into blessing for you and for everyone you pass it on to.

Who writes this

Kevin Thompson. Licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and a volunteer teacher at a local church. My discipleship journey started in a college ministry, where I stopped being someone who just showed up on Sundays and started actively living out my faith with other believers. That set me on a path where the Lord led me into active ministry: I served as a youth pastor for three years. Today, my role may have changed, but my calling to pastor God’s people has not. I am active in prayer ministry, teaching, and writing. I write for the person, like my former self, who has sat in church for years and still quietly wonders what half of it means and how to apply it to real life in a way that actually works. This material grew out of teaching real people in a real room, and it’s offered here so others can use it too.
