Track One · Nine weeks
Grounded
Welcome to Grounded, a 9-week journey to know and understand our faith in Jesus. We’ll cover a lot together, so I encourage you to come ready for every session; you won’t want to miss a thing. Think of this as the starting line, not the finish. We’ll explore as much as we can, but no course can capture everything there is to know about walking with the Lord. My hope is that when these weeks are over, you’ll keep going, ideally alongside a mentor as you continue growing and becoming more like Jesus.

What is included
Every week comes with three things. A lesson transcript in my own words. A printable fill-in-the-blank worksheet that follows the same headings, so students have a tool to follow along with. And a PowerPoint presentation if you are teaching it to a room. All of it is free to download, free to print, and free to copy for your group. There is nothing to buy and no account to create.
How long each session takes
Plan about an hour. That is roughly forty to forty-five minutes of teaching and fifteen to twenty minutes of class questions and discussion. If you only have thirty minutes, cover the Big Idea and the key Scriptures. Print out the full lesson transcript for each student and provide a binder for them to take this home and study during the week. This takes some of the pressure off needing to cover the entire lesson in one class time. Nine weeks is a suggestion, not a rule. Some groups could take more time.
Working through it on your own
You do not need a group to start. Read the lesson, print the worksheet, and look up every Scripture reference in your own Bible rather than taking my word for it. Write your answers down. Something changes when you put a pen to it. If you get stuck on a week, sit in it for a while before moving on. Understanding is the point, not the schedule.
Working through it with a group
Most people get more out of this at a table with other people. You do not need to be a credentialed pastor to teach this class. You need someone willing to prepare and care about the people in the room. If you are that person, the Leaders page has the weekly rhythm, the timing, and notes for all nine weeks. I also want to strongly encourage you as the leader to personalize these lessons with your own experiences and testimonies. Your story is powerful and you bring life and meaning to the lesson when you’re willing to talk about all the things that God has done in your life up until now.
Why the lessons are in this order
The first three weeks lay the foundation: what God has done, who Jesus is, and how God speaks. Nothing else holds without those. Weeks four through six move from what you believe to how you live it, day to day and alongside other people. The last three cover the Holy Spirit and where all of this is finally going. You can read them out of order, but the order is there for a reason. Each one leans on the ones before it.
