How to use these files
The lesson transcript is a Word document, so you can edit it before you teach it. Cut what you do not need, add your own stories, and change the examples to fit the people in your room. The PowerPoint presentation follows the same order as the transcript, so the two stay in step.
Student worksheets and answer keys are being written now. Until they are ready, printing the transcript for each student works well. Give them a binder and they can take the material home and study it during the week.
What you are allowed to do with them
Print them. Teach them. Copy them for your group. Adapt them to fit your church. The whole curriculum is licensed under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0, which means you are free to share and build on this material for non-commercial use, as long as you give credit and pass on the same freedom to others.
You do not need to ask permission and you do not need to pay for anything. If you use it and it helps, a link back to this site is the only thanks needed.
Teaching it for the first time
If you have never led a group before, start with the Leaders page. Teaching notes and answer keys for each week live on the Grounded leader notes page. It covers how long each session takes, how much preparation is realistic, what to do when someone asks a question you cannot answer, and how to handle a group that falls behind.
Each lesson also lives on the site as a full web page, so students can follow along on a phone if they did not bring their printout.
